Aquileia, Cividale del Friuli, the “starry” Palmanova, the stilts of Palù and the majesty of the Dolomites represent an exceptional heritage. The territory of the Pordenone-Udine Chamber of Commerce hosts 5 UNESCO sites on the World Heritage list since 1998 : “Archaeological Area of Aquileia and the Patriarchal Basilica”; the Lombard Temple of Cividale del Friuli, which is part of the site “The Lombards in Italy. The places of power (568-774)”; Palmanova, a fortress-city that has been a World Heritage Site since 2017; the Dolomites, which obtained recognition in 2009; Palù di Livenza, with its pile-dwelling and naturalistic site, included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2011, as part of the transnational serial site “Prehistoric pile-dwelling sites around the Alps”.
